Care For Children

As part of this ongoing commitment and assurance that the highest level of In-Home Childcare is always provided, the three parties involved: PARENT, CHILD and CARER are always considered.

The Parent:

Parents are looking for the best quality childcare available for their children. We recognize it’s not just providing a carer with the right qualifications or experience. It is about the correct person for the position - one that will suit the parent’s requirement for their children at the time, in their own home. "The right person for the right position".

The Child:

The child's welfare must be considered at all times, along with their daily routines, continuing growth and development programs. Children need a happy and congenial environment with a well balanced diet - not one where they are propped in front of a television or video with a drink bottle! Our Nannies encourage lots of fun interactive play, reading and music plus visits to the park where permitted by parents.

We suggest you leave a copy of the child’s daily routine for your carer - this will assist with the transition and ensures your child is less likely to miss their parents. Just prior to when your Nanny is to commence, start a diary and note your child’s progress, activities, eating and sleeping patterns. This can also record any mishaps.

The Carer:

Although they are there primarily to care for the children (as this is their chosen career), they are also looking for a rewarding and fulfilling career with good working conditions and remuneration - along with appreciation for the care they provide for other people’s children. They not only care for the children, but in fact do a balancing act between the child and the parent, keeping everything on a level playing field. It is also important to maintain a professional and caring relationship between all parties so they can approach and discuss issues with parents as they arise.

It is the nanny’s responsibility to care for your children primarily which will involve all child related duties i.e. the children’s washing, unpacking/packing the dishwasher, prepare nutritious meals, bath the children while ensuring that the nanny cleans up after themselves, and always leaves your home neat and tidy, as it is found.
